The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission is seeking new members

Athens-Clarke County residents interested in the arts, community engagement, and outreach are encouraged to apply to join the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission (ACAC).

The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission is seeking candidates to fill a three-year volunteer position. This position is open to residents of Athens-Clarke County who are interested in public administration, arts education, and outreach. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 13th, at 5 p.m.

The ACAC’s mission is to foster the development and enjoyment of performing, visual, cultural, and other arts in Athens-Clarke County. It also makes recommendations to the Mayor and Commission in many areas of ACC planning and development.

Candidates who are selected for this position will begin the volunteer term in the spring. For those interested in the position, applicants can visit the ACC Unified Government website to submit their application
