A viral video is currently circulating online of a University of Georgia professor being confronted for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

In the video, an independent journalist from Atlanta and a local Athens group dedicated to exposing child predators confront the professor with pages of alleged communications between the professor and a child.

The University has said that the instructor has been removed from campus and an investigation is being conducted.

UGA’s Associate Vice President for Public Safety, Daniel Silk, said that the “...UGA PD has been in communication with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and is working with the social media influencers to collect all relevant evidence.”

The professor has yet to be named as formal charges have not yet been filed.

Alexzundra Tillman is a part-time reporter and producer. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in Film and Television studies at UGA and hopes to work at the cross section of these two fields in the future.
