TEDxUGA 2026 is getting underway this week. The 13th annual event, Dark Mode, is being held at the Historic Morton Theatre in downtown Athens. Organizers say TEDxUGA is aimed at bringing members of the UGA and Athens communities to the stage for connection and conversation.
Isabella Martinez is the event curator.
“TEDxUGA is a night of ideas worth spreading,” according to Martinez. “It ranges from topics, anywhere from science to liberal arts to the human brain, to mathematics. Anything, any big idea that’s out there at UGA or Athens community, we have it on the stage.”
She says the previous talks in the series have been viewed nearly eight million times. Those interested in seeing this year’s event have a variety of options.
“This year we’re partnering again with Trapeze, across the street from Morton, to host a watch party. We also have a livestream that people can enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.”
The event is Friday, March 27th at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm.
