In celebration of National Community Development Week, the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Housing and Community Development Department will be doing tours of local affordable housing and community development projects.

This weeklong celebration is meant to recognize the impact of the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership programs within our community. These grants are federally funded programs aimed at helping state and local governments fund housing, community and infrastructure projects that benefit low- and moderate-income households.

The tours are in collaboration with the Historic Athens Welcome Center and are free and open to the public. They will take place on Tuesday, April 7th, and Friday, April 10th, from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is required.
