UGA Police warn of thefts of prescription drugs

The University of Georgia Police Department is warning of several reports of burglary which took place in Morris Hall last week. All the incidents involved the theft of prescription medication from unlocked rooms. None of the reported incidents involved forced entry of damage to property during the commission of those thefts.

Authorities say none of the reports have included any violence or crime involving any contact with the suspect. There are no indications that there is any threat to community members. UGA Police urge everyone to keep their doors locked at all times to limit the possibility of similar types of incidents.

Anymore who may have seen any activity that may be related to the thefts or similar incidents, is urged to contact the UGA Police Department at 706-542-2200.
