According to the Georgia Department of Labor, Georgia’s labor force has hit an all-time high of nearly 5.5 million people.

The Georgia labor force has grown by over 53,000 people in the past year.

Georgia’s unemployment rate remained at 3.5% in April, though it has slowly increased over the past year. It is 0.8 percentage points lower than the national unemployment rate.

Georgia has gained 2,700 jobs this year, though jobs have been declining in the federal government.

In April, Georgia experienced the most job gains in the wholesale trade industry and the real estate and rental industry. The transportation, warehousing and utilities sector experienced the most job losses in the state.

Initial claims were also down 2,700 this year.
