Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger says that Georgia joining this new coalition will remove red tape for licensed professional counselors.

Georgia has just joined several other states in streamlining the licensing process for counselors who move states.

This coalition of states, known as the Counseling Compact, allows professional counselors to easily obtain their license when they move to a new state within the compact. The states included are Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota, Ohio, and now Georgia.

According to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, this new initiative will allow new Georgians to get to work faster.
