Georgia will take part in the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., beginning June 25 as part of events marking America’s 250th anniversary. The state’s pavilion will feature displays highlighting Georgia’s agriculture, business sector and other industries, along with products from Georgia-based companies including Waffle House and Chick-fil-A.
The fair, held on the National Mall through July 10, will include exhibits from all 50 states and 5 territories as well as businesses and civic organizations from across the country. Georgia’s participation is being organized by the Governor’s Office and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement with sponsorship from the Georgia Department of Economic Development and several private companies.
Admission to the event is free, although organizers encourage visitors to register in advance. The pavilion will be open daily with extended evening hours later in the week.
