The Lyndon House Arts Center has announced the opening date of the biennial Clarke County School District Student Art Exhibition.
Rooted, a student exhibition exploring what it means to be rooted, will be on view at the Lyndon House Arts Center from October 1, 2026 to January 23, 2027.
An opening reception, with performances by the Cedar Shoals Orchestra and Clarke Central Orchestra, will be held on Tuesday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m.
The theme explores varying interpretations of the idea of being rooted, inviting artists and viewers to contemplate subjects ranging from plant systems to family trees, community and history.
Rooted will be accompanied by a publication documenting all of the students' artwork. This complimentary catalog is available to visitors as quantities last.
All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public. Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
