Governor Brian Kemp has issued a State of Emergency regarding Hurricane Isaias.

On Thursday, Governor Kemp declared a State of Emergency for all of Georgia’s 159 counties. The storm is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, potential flooding, and possible tornadoes. Kemp urged residents to prepare.

“As we always do with weather events, we’re hoping for the best but preparing for the worst," said Governor Brian Kemp. "I encourage all Georgians to take this storm seriously and prepare now by stocking up on food, batteries, flashlights, water, and other necessities in case of severe weather impacting communities Friday night through Saturday."

GEMA is also prepared for possible downed trees and power lines.
Georgians could feel the impact beginning Friday night.
