This Mother’s Day special episode celebrates all mothers and mother figures in our listening area and on the African continent. The episode focuses on the celebration of mothers and other care givers even as the nation has a subdued celebration in the environment of social distancing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The special mother’s day poem, ‘your love is a gift’ by American poet, Johanna Fuchs is also shared. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including multi-generational and multinational tracks that enhanced the celebration.
All the music on the show talks about mothers in pursuit of the show’s special theme from artistes such as Huge Masekela, Asa, and Brenda Farsi.
