Our third episode in the month of August features our back to School special with special musical focus on some of the legends of African music.
Featuring a review of the summer focus of our show on the 2021 Mandela Washington Fellowship, the episode continues our focus on the increasing numbers of coronavirus infections in our listening area as the deadlier delta variant of the Coronavirus continues to spread.
As part of the back to school special, the episode acknowledges the majority of students, teachers and staff in our listening area returning to in person schooling after the extended virtual learning during the height of the pandemic.
As always, the episode features selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including selected selections from legends of African music including Manu Dibango, Papa Wemba, Sam Mwangwana, Ali Farka Toure, Sona Diabate, and Oumou Sangare.
