The American Red Cross is asking eligible donors of all types to give blood this summer. Spokesperson Ronnika McFall says while the summer is typically a slow time of year for donations, this year presents particular challenges.
McFall says the need for blood remains constant, both around the nation and here in the state.
The process is a simple one, interested donors can schedule an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, use the Red Cross Blood Donor app, or by calling 1-800-Red Cross, that’s 1-800-733-2767. For a list of area blood drives, visit WUGA.org.
