Athens will be the location of one of 23 new CVS testing sites opening in Georgia in the coming days. Located at 795 Oglethorpe Avenue, Athens, GA 30606, the testing site will provide self swab tests to individuals who make an appointment online.
In a release sent out by CVS, the company states that the process for testing will meet, “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria, in addition to state and age guidelines.”
The new locations will follow a strict protocol, and administer tests within cars while a member of the CVS pharmacy staff observes. Once they are taken, “Tests will be sent to an independent, third-party lab for processing and the results will be available in approximately three days.”
