Athens StoryCorps: Ashley Garrett and Vivianna-Beatriz

Vivianna-Beatriz Garrett Gama is still navigating childhood as a middle-schooler, so she joined her mom Ashley Garrett in the StoryCorps mobile booth to talk about what her life is like now and what she hopes her legacy will be long after she’s gone. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the Fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people. All of the interviews were produced locally by Morgan Frey.
