The Georgia Department of Health reported 38 confirmed coronavirus cases Wednesday in Athens-Clarke County.
While this was an increase from Tuesday’s cases, the weekly average has decreased from 37.3 to 35.1. The county is now at 13,707 confirmed cases and144 confirmed deaths. Hospitals in the county are now at 90.87% capacity, with 577 general beds in use out of 635.
Surrounding counties have also seen an increase in daily cases. Oconee county had 4 new cases Tuesday and 17 Wednesday, while Madison county had 12 new cases Tuesday and 13 Wednesday
The state is reporting 4,362 confirmed cases of coronavirus Wednesday, with 180 hospitalizations and 31 deaths.
