Civil Rights Groups have filed a third federal lawsuit in response to the recent Georgia State House bill S.B. 202.
This lawsuit alleges that S.B. 202 Violates Section 2 of the voting rights act and infringes on the rights of Georgians under the Fourteenth, Fifteenth, and First Amendments to the US Constitution.

That’s Leah Aden. She’s the Deputy Director of Litigation for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. Joining the NAACP in the lawsuit will be the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Georgia, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the law firms Wilmer Hale and Davis Wright Tremaine. Most controversially, the lawsuit will challenge the new ban on “line warming,” the process of providing water and food to voters waiting in line.
The lawsuit will also challenge other aspects of the bill including the reduction in early voting for runoff elections and the ban on mobile voting
