The Georgia Department of Health and the Northeast Health district are partnering to help Athens residents get vaccinated.
This weekend the Georgia DPH will be running the Say “YES” Summer. Between 4pm and 7pm on Friday August 20th and from 10am until 5pm on Saturday August 21st, free vaccinations will be provided alongside the Athens Orthopedic Twilight Criterium bike race.
The first 20 people vaccinated each day will also receive Twilight merchandise. Live music and local art will coincide with the event and all vaccinations will be provided for free, and without an appointment or any prior registration needed. This is the second Say “YES” event hosted by Georgia DPH.
Earlier this month at Say “YES” Savannah, the Department of Public Health helped vaccinate over 100 residents. Additional partners for the event include the CDC, the David J. Sencer CDC Museum, South Arts, and Home Depot.
