StoryCorps visited Athens, Georgia from October 14 through November 11, 2018.  The visit was a project of WUGA FM and it was hosted at Athens-Clarke County Library.

StoryCorps: Athens Stories Hour-Long Special

StoryCorps visited Athens, Georgia from October 14 through November 11, 2018. The visit was a project of WUGA FM and it was hosted at Athens-Clarke County Library. Enjoy some of the stories recorded during their stay. Here is an hour-long special which was broadcast during the 2018 holiday season. Best friends Jocelyn Deal and Katherine Kyker grew up in military families and moved many times during their childhoods.  Neither of them expected they would develop a lasting friendship with anyone, but over their 40 year friendship these two have remained close and learned some valuable lessons along the way.

Tyreda Starks brought her 14 year-old son, Antonio, to the StoryCorps mobile booth to discuss their favorite memories together, Antonio’s hopes for the future, and an interesting talent that Antonio has.
