Emma Auer is an award-winning reporter who joined WUGA as a full-time producer in 2024. She is also a graduate student in UGA's Romance Languages Department, studying French and Spanish. She covers the breadth of Northeast Georgia stories, from Athens City Hall to Winterville farmers' markets. Emma's work has also been heard on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Diane Orson is CT Public Radio's Deputy News Director and Southern Connecticut Bureau Chief. For years, hers was the first voice many Connecticut residents heard each day as the local host of Morning Edition. She is a longtime reporter and contributor to National Public Radio. Her stories have been heard on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition and Here And Now. She is the co-recipient of a Peabody Award. Her work has been recognized by the Connecticut Society for Professional Journalists and the Associated Press, including the Ellen Abrams Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism and the Walt Dibble Award for Overall Excellence.

Cathy joined WUGA in 2017 as the station's Business Manager. She came from South Carolina Public Radio with over a decade experience, having worked as production manager for multiple national programs, host of a daily program and traffic manager for a statewide radio network. She left to be the Radio Network Director for Nebraska Public Media in April 2025.

Wendy Barrios was formerly the Website and Social Media Coordinator for WUGA. Her social media strategy is to connect listeners with more WUGA behind-the-scenes content! With a background in short-form video production on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, she films videos, edits photos, and writes copy for WUGA's social media marketing. She enjoys running, sewing, and fostering cats.
