This second episode in September is our third listeners’ appreciation show for the year. Once every quarter, we set aside a show to appreciate the support of our listeners. These quarterly episodes have been part of our tradition on African Perspectives. As part of this show, we encourage our listeners to continue being vigilant regarding pandemic as deaths from the virus has now exceeding 6 million and new subvariants spreading. We also acknowledged the community members that attended the twelfth Africa Family Picnic that took place at Memorial Park on September 3. The episode shared the news of Kenya’s supreme court upholding his electoral victory last week. In rounding up, the episode applaud the Africa Union and the UN on the beginning of the 2022 African Amnesty month on small arms in September with a dedication to all African children dealing with the impact of all the natural and man-made disasters on the continent. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including wonderful selections from two African reggae collections, Fly African Eagle and Reggae Africa.
