Athens News Matters for February 15, 2023

$1.3 million is a lot of money, but when you break it down, it doesn’t buy you that much in the way of affordable housing for a community. We’ll talk about how ACC lawmakers are planning to spend $2,5 million in federal dollars for homelessness relief and prevention. After a decade in the Athens music scene, Athens Tango Project released its first EP, “Para Compartir” (To Be Shared), last month. WUGA's Julianne Akers sat down with the group's founder, Laura Camacho, to talk about the band, its music, and an upcoming benefit concert. All of this and more on this episode of Athens News Matters.
