UGA Presents
Leif Ove Andsnes

Even in a UGA Presents season absolutely stacked with classical and jazz keyboard masters, Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes stands out.

His searching interpretations have garnered critical acclaim and countless awards. On Wednesday, January 21st he appears at Hodgson Concert Hall as part of the series Nordic Dreams: Voices from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. He'll play intriguing character pieces by Leoš Janáček, Robert Schumann and the 99-year-old György Kurtág.

The program is bookended by Robert Schumann’s Klavierstücke and Carnaval, the latter of which brings the intrigue of masked revelry to 21 miniatures that are among his most enduring works.
