Tord Gustavsen Trio

A pianist leans over a grand piano while performing inside an ornate theater with balconies and warm lighting in the background.
UGA Presents
Tord Gustavsen

The Tord Gustavsen Trio appears Friday, March 27th at Ramsey Concert Hall.

Tord Gustavsen's music is the offspring of American jazz traditions — including instrumentation and improvisation — and European culture. The result is a unique, immediately identifiable Nordic jazz sound that has won the hearts of music lovers worldwide and established Gustavsen as one of Scandinavia’s leading jazz artists.

Gustavsen's Lutheran faith informs his music making, which is melodic and meditative. For the Norwegian jazz pianist and composer, playing is close to praying.
