Next week, UGA Presents hosts two international theater companies in a short series called Into the Myths.
First up, Monday and Tuesday, October 5th and 6th at the Morton Theatre, is an English troupe called Out of Chaos. Their show "Unmythable" puts the most famous stories from Greek mythology into a blender with riotous results. Through sketch comedy, clowning, stories, and songs, two actors tell the tale of Jason and the Argonauts and encounters with Medusa, Persephone, Hades, Medea and many more. The Guardian calls the show “expertly performed and stupidly entertaining.”
The second company in the Into the Myths series is a circus troupe from Australia named Gravity and Other Myths. Thursday, October 8th at Hodgson Concert Hall, they'll perform "Ten Thousand Hours", a tribute to the hard work that goes into mastering a skill. Eight acrobats jump, balance, flip and fly through a show the AU Review calls "jaw dropping."
