The Tow to Go program will reach a milestone this holiday season. The nearly 20-year long partnership between Triple A and Budweiser aimed at fighting impaired driving will provide its 25,000th safe ride by New Year’s Eve.
Though the safety net is in place for many drivers, organizers want partygoers to plan ahead so they don’t need it. That planning means choosing a Designated Driver, staying where they are, or arranging for another form of safe transportation.
Tow to Go is available Friday, December 22nd through 6 am Tuesday morning January 2nd. For drivers in the Southeast and Midwest, the program provides a local ride with 10 miles, the AAA tow truck takes the vehicle and driver home. It’s provided in Georgia, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, and Tennessee as well as parts of Indiana and Wisconsin. The number is (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or 855-286-9246.
