The Athens Library is going green and is inviting others to join in. The library is hosting Green Life Expo 2018: Practicing Sustainability in Our Community on January 27th. The facility is partnering with the ACC Recycling Division for the event which is aimed at celebrating sustainability in the Athens area community.
The event will feature a wide-variety of businesses, student groups and organizations that share new ways to practice sustainability. There will also be educational panels, speakers, and hands-on activities for adults and children to participate in.
The event takes place Saturday, January 27, from 10 am to 4 pm. Children’s activities are from 12 to 2 pm. For more information, call 706-613-3512. Ext. 316. It is free and open to the public.
