Gas Prices Rise in Georgia

AAA Auto Club Group

Gas prices in Georgia are rising and could continue to get even more expensive this week as oil and wholesale gasoline prices are at their highest levels since November 2018.

The state average could soon jump another 10 cents as a result.

Georgia gas prices are already at 2019-highs. The state average rose a total of 5 cents last week. Sunday's average price of $2.19 per gallon is nearly 20 cents below what prices were this time last year.

Clarke County has gas prices above the state average, at $2.21 per gallon.

The most expensive gas price averages were in Atlanta at $2.22, Brunswick at $2.21 and Hinesville-Fort Steward at $2.20. The cheapest prices were in Warner Robins at $2.07, Macon at $2.11 and Augusta-Aiken at $2.12.
