Women's History Month Events at UGA

The University of Georgia will be hosting a variety of events for Women’s History Month this March, beginning with a screening RGB on Monday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. in room 271 of the Special Collections Library.

On March 18, there will be a screening of Mankiller, also in room 271 of the Special Collections Library.

Dr. Layli Maparyan, Ph.D., the Katherine Stone Kaufmann ’67 Executive Director of the Wellesley Centers for Women and Professor of Africana Studies at Wellesley College, will be giving a keynote address titled "Women, Peace, and Nonviolence: Womanist Case Studies of the Contemplative Path to Social Action", on Thursday, March 21 in room 271 of Special Collections.

On Tuesday, March 26, Craftivism will host a panel discussion featuring panelists Dr. Hilda Kurtz, Dr. Denise Domizi, Xin Xin, and moderator by Dr. Chris Cuomo. More panelists will be announced.

All events are free and open to the pubic.
