Women's History

An author and historian will visit Athens Tuesday to discuss her biography of Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to the US House of Representatives and longtime Athens resident.

We’ll talk with a representative of the Jeannette Rankin foundation to learn more about Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, and how Rankin’s legacy continues through the annual STAR party.
