ACCPD Chief Cleveland Spruill to Hold Community Engagement Forum

Athens-Clarke County Police Department

Athens Police Chief Cleveland Spruill is hosting a second Community Engagement Forum this Friday, as part of an ongoing effort to enhance communications between residents and the police force.  The department plans to host similar gatherings over the next few months throughout Athens-Clarke County.

The Community Forums will allow citizens to voice concerns, ideas and expectations to police leadership; in addition, they will provide newly-appointed Chief Spruill to share and refine his vision for the ACCPD.

Spruill says the department is seeking a plan that is reflective of the community’s needs and that conforms to 21st century policing professional best practices.

The meeting is Friday, March 22nd at Gaines Elementary School from 6 to 7 pm.

Dates and times for future forums will be provided over the next few weeks at www.accgov.com/meetthechief.
