A man wanted in the deaths of two Georgia men whose bodies were found inside a storage unit has been captured.
The FBI's SWAT team and DeKalb County Police arrested 32-year-old Robert Maurice Carlisle, of Lithonia, Georgia, on Thursday at a home in Stone Mountain, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson, in a news release Friday, said Carlisle was apprehended the same day authorities charged him and two others with two counts of murder in the deaths of Derrick D. Ruff and Joshua L. Jackson, both 25. The men had been reported missing in December. Cadaver dogs found their bodies March 17 inside a storage unit in Lawrenceville, northeast of Atlanta. Both had been shot to death.
Earlier this month, the FBI issued a $2,500 reward for information leading to Carlisle's capture.
In addition to two counts of murder, Carlisle was wanted by Gwinnett police on state warrants for two counts of concealing the death of another and two counts of participating in criminal gang activity. He is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail on those charges as well as a federal warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The latter charge was filed as a result of a tip from the public, Rowson said.
Bond information and details of whether he is represented by an attorney was not immediately available.
With Carlisle's capture, four of the five men charged in the deaths are now in custody, authorities said. Lesley Chappell Green, 30, Shabazz Larry Guidry, 24, and Philmon Chambers, 30, are behind bars. A fifth man, Justin Jamal Davis, 29, remains at large, Gwinnett police said.
