Clarke County School Board Approves Hiring New Principals

The Clarke County School Board has approved the hiring of three new principals. According to a media release from the district, all three candidates came from the district and were chosen through a collaboration between district staff and school hiring committees comprised of Local School Governance Team members, community members and school staff.

Current assistant principal Aliceson Nobles will lead Barnett Shoals Elementary, April Braswell, assistant principal at Coile Middle School is heading to Whitehead Road Elementary School and Christopher Pendley will take the helm as principal at Clarke Middle School, where he currently serves as assistant principal.

Three additional vacancies still need to be filled at Alps Road elementary, Fowler Drive Elementary, and Hilsman Middle school.

The board recently approved hiring Bipul Singh as principal at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary.

The Board approved filling the vacancies at a meeting Thursday.
