Police are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a shooting Sunday evening. According to a media release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, police responded a Shots Fired call at 105 Hickman Drive in Bethel Homes around 6:45 pm.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 29-year old male victim had been shot. The victim went to a nearby fire station at 700 College Avenue where he received emergency care.
He was then taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses say at least two suspects were involved in the shooting, one identified as a light-skinned black male wearing a red, white and blue striped shirt. According to witnesses, after the shooting, the two suspects fled on foot.
