The Athens-Clarke County Government is looking for volunteers interested in serving on the Community Tree Council. The council provides information and recommendations regarding community tree policy and procedures to Athens-Clarke officials, staff, and members of the community. The body also offers educational opportunities promoting responsible management of tree resources.
The CTC meets monthly on the second Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Planning Department on West Dougherty Street.
Applicants must be Clarke County residents. The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 16, 2020.
The three-year terms begin in March.
