Early Voting Underway in Athens-Clarke County/State

Early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary began Monday in Georgia. Athens-Clarke County residents can now vote at the Board of Elections Office through March 20, Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. Extended hours are Saturday, March 14th from 9 am until 4 pm, Sunday, March 15th from 1 pm until 5 pm and Wednesday, March 18th from 8 am until 7 pm.

In addition, early voting will take place March 16th to the 20th at several other ACC sites. They include the Athens Regional Library, Miriam Moore Community Center, ACC Extension Office and City Hall. For more information on where to vote and the times polls are open, visit www.accgov.com.

Voters will be required to show one of six forms of ID when voting. Those are: a Georgia driver’s license, even if expired, state or federal government ID, passport, government employee ID, military ID or tribal photo ID.
