Winner of the Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Award

Jim Willingham is the winner of the 4th Annual Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Award. The coronavirus pandemic did not stop the show from going on for this year’s contest. The live show was scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th but due to COVID-19, the Classic City Rotary Club, which sponsors the event, streamed the show on Facebook.

This year’s finalists included Randall Bramblett, Dope Knife (aka Kendrick Mack) Jim White Michael Davis Pratt) and Sarah Zunga and Daniel Fisher. The winner receives $1,000 and a promotional package, the four other finalists will receive $250. Other funds raised will be donated to Nuci’s Space
