COVID-19 Deaths Top 1,000 in Georgia

There are more than 24-thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus infections in the state. The Georgia Department of Public Health reports more than 48-hundred hospitalizations with more than 1100 ICU admissions and more than 1,000 deaths.

The most recent update shows Clarke County has 142 cases and 13 deaths. Elsewhere in the area, Barrow County has 123 cases and four deaths, Jackson, 78 cases, one death, Oconee County, 58 cases, Madison 23 cases, one death and Oglethorpe County has 48 cases and three deaths. Fulton continues to lead the state in number of cases with more than 27-hundred, while Dougherty County leads in the number of deaths with 118.
