Athenians will join their fellow Georgia citizens heading to the polls for the June 9 primary. Early voting for that primary begins Monday, May 18 at 8 am and ends Friday, June 5 at 5:30.
Athens voters wanting to cast ballots in person can do at several different sites around the county. May 18-22 and May 25-29 at the Board of Elections office Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. The office is closed for Memorial Day.
Weekend voting will be held Saturday, May 30 from 9 until 4 pm and Sunday May 31 from noon until 3 pm.
The week of June 1 through 5 citizens can vote at the Athens Library, Miriam Moore Community Center and the ACC Extension, in addition to the Board of Elections.
