ACC Courthouse Closes Temporarily as Deputy Tests Positive for COVID-19

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The Athens-Clarke County Courthouse will be closed until July 20, after a Clarke County Sheriff's Deputy tested positive for COVID-19, according to an order issued today by Superior Court Judge Eric Norris.

During the closure, Athens Clarke County staff will clean the facility, and most court deadlines will be suspended. Sheriff's deputies will be stationed at the courthouse to direct residents to other locations for functions that would normally be carried on at the courthouse.
