The Athens Clarke County Mayor and Commission will have their first meeting of the month this evening.
The Mayor and Commission will have a regular session at 6PM today. During the session, commissioners will vote on a variety of zoning items, an ordinance to modify the Sunday hours for the Downtown Farmer's Market, and the design and construction for the Classic Center Arena.
Another item of discussion includes amendments to the proposed Indigent Services contract. The recommended total of the contract stands at $267,106, which would benefit organizations such as the Athens Area Homeless Shelter, the Athens Area Diaper Bank, and Family Promise.
