The Clarke County School District will welcome students back into the classroom on February 15th, which marks the first phase of their reopening schedule.
The first phase will mark the return of in-person instruction for special education students. PreK through second-grade students will return on March first, grades three through five on March 15th, and Middle and high school students on March 22nd.
President of the Clarke County School Board, LaKeisha Gantt, comments.
"Students develop within the context of their peers, and certainly they still have those peers online, but for our younger students, and our middle and high school students who need to have those social relationships, just wondering what that does for their own development as well as their emotional and psychological health."
A virtual option will still available for students for the remainder of the year.
