Athens Clarke County Mayor and Commission had a work session yesterday evening.
Several presentations were given to the mayor and commission concerning phase three of the Firefly Trail, the Affordable Housing Project Master Plan, downtown loading zones, eco-stations on Clayton Street, and recommendations for a Community Development Block Grant, or CDBG, for the 2022 Fiscal Year.

"We're recommending $641,000 for affordable housing activities , $274,000 for administration, $217,000 for economic development, $205,000 for public services, and $34,000 for public facilities and improvements."
The commission is expected to vote on CDBG recommendations in April.
