ACC Seeks Input for Prince Avenue Improvements

The Athens-Clarke County government is seeking public opinions on a potential infrastructure improvement project for the Prince Avenue corridor.

The $4-million-dollar project was created to help improve traffic flow and pedestrian access from Pulaski Street to Sunset Drive.

Residents are invited to take an online survey to participate in creating a list of possible improvement plans for the mayor and commission to consider. Potential plans under consideration include landscaped medians, sidewalk upgrades, mid-block crosswalks and separated bike lanes. There is also the possibility of intersection, roadway, and signal changes.

The survey forms will be open through September 9th at www.accgov.com/prince. The website provides information on the project, including a visual story map of the potential infrastructure improvements.

Staff and group members will also host informational events about the projects outside along the corridor from august 18th to September 5th.
