Downtown shooting toll rises to seven, no deaths

Athens-Clarke County Police say that seven people were injured during a shooting in downtown Athens early Sunday morning, and that as of Sunday afternoon, the suspect is still at large.

Police are searching for Pharoah Devonell Williams, 21. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information as to Williams' whereabouts should call 911 or the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 706-705-4775. 

Police say that the shooting happened just before 2:00 am Sunday, when a "large fight" broke out near East Clayton and North Jackson Streets. During the fracas, the suspect allegedly discharged a firearm into the crowd. Seven people were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
