ACCPD and UGAPD Make Arrest in Armed Robbery Investigations

ACCPD

Athens-Clarke County Police, with assistance from UGA Police,  have arrested a 16-year old in connection with a string of armed robberies. Police say 16-year old Laquavion Baughns is in custody for three incidents on Saturday, October 16th.

For armed robberies on Pope Street, in the area of Second Street and Dr. MLK Jr. Parkway, and in the 300 block of Willow Street. According to a release from the department, Baughns is also in custody for an October 13th armed robbery that happened in the area of Mitchell Street and Williams Street.

He is being charged as an adult.
