Athens-Clarke County police are investigating two non-fatal shootings that occurred in the past week. On December 31 at about 9 PM, officers responded to an address in the 200 block of Rocksprings Court. The victim in that incident, a 20-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In what seems to be an unrelated incident, ACCPD responded to reports of a shooting yesterday morning in the Stonehenge neighborhood. The victim in that shooting, a 23-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital. Authorities say his injuries are also non-life-threatening. Police are asking anyone with any information about these two shootings to contact the ACCPD.
