Former President Donald Trump is set to arrive in Commerce on March 26 for a “Save America Rally,” held at Banks County Dragway, with doors opening at 2 p.m. and the event starting at 7 p.m.
Trump has endorsed Georgia gubernatorial candidate and former senator David Perdue, as well as senate candidate Herschel Walker, who are both expected to speak at the rally. The former president’s voice in Georgia politics is not new, however. He has been critical of Governor Brian Kemp, at one point even calling for his resignation. This all comes in the wake of Kemp’s refusal to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. The certified results show Biden’s narrow defeat of Trump in the previously red state by less than 12,000 votes.
