UGA to send off over 7,600 new grads on May 13

Friday the 13th will be a lucky day for more than 7,600 UGA students who have met requirements to participate in spring Commencement ceremonies.

Delta’s Chief Executive Officer Ed Bastian will deliver the undergrad address, while UGA’s vice president for Public Service and Outreach, Jennifer Frum, will speak at the graduate ceremony.

The undergraduate ceremony is scheduled for 7:30 pm Friday in Sanford Stadium and the grad ceremony will take place at 9:30 am at Stegeman Coliseum.

The clear bag policy will be in effect.

UGA released details about the ceremonies Thursday.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
