Democratic Runoff Hopefuls Face Voters at Thursday’s Forum

Democratic candidates in Georgia’s June 21st runoff elections will answer voters’ questions tomorrow at a forum hosted by the Oconee County Democratic Party.

Tabitha Johnson-Green, running for Georgia’s 10th US Congressional District, will join opponent Jessica Fore, who survived a recount requested by 3rd-place candidate Phyllis Hatcher. Both contenders for Secretary of State, Dee Dawkins-Haigler and Bee Nguyen, will attend, as will one of the hopefuls for the Lieutenant Governor seat, Charlie Bailey.

A forum for Republican candidates slated to take place on June 6 was canceled by the Oconee County Republican Party due to scheduling conflicts.

The public can attend in person on Thursday at 6:30 pm at the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce at 55 Nancy Dr., in Watkinsville, or may join via Zoom, and can also submit questions in advance by emailing PamTDavis54@gmail.com. For more information, go to ocgadems.org.
